Nothing particularly expensive or fine so you don't need to worry about getting them dirty or torn in the line of duty. The tie is just a small nod to what is considered appropriate for your work, possibly a nod to your former status as sheriff. Otherwise, the general ensemble shows a lack of need to impress anyone with your appearance, either because you aren't around that woman you're so fond of, or simply because even if you had someone to impress, you would be at a complete loss as to what to wear.
Chances are you wouldn't bother to dress to imrpess in any case. You're too honest and hardly one for attempting deception.
